The Office for the Advancement of Telehealth (OAT) includes telehealth research impacting all nationally underserved areas. Thus, for RTRC to aptly reflect its broad research spectrum, a name change was pursued. Effective immediately, RTRC will be the acronym for the Remote care & Telehealth Research Center. The Center’s website has transferred from ruraltelehealth.org to telehealthresearch.org.

Rigorous research is needed to identify quality telehealth models that are affordable and sustainable. The goal of the Remote care & Telehealth Research Center is to conduct and disseminate research on telehealth that contributes to a maintaining or improving a high-performance system in America.
